Picture Box Distribution is an international television sales agency and distribution company with offices in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada. The company’s purpose is to provide cost-effective and efficient distribution and marketing services to Canadian producers of factual and youth oriented programming. From the financing and packaging of programs in development to the worldwide marketing and distribution of completed programs, we are your partner from idea to audience. In addition to selling completed programs and pre-selling programs in development, we act as co-production liaison with commissioning editors for international co-productions. We attend major international television markets including MIPCOM, MIPTV, Kidscreen, Realscreen, and the Banff Television Festival.

Kate Sanagan
Partner, Director of North American Sales
Kate joined the Picture Box team in the fall of 2003. Her industry career has largely been spent in the North American programming world, where she has sold to and acquired programs for most of the major buyers in Canada and the U.S. Working with producers on both sides of the border, Kate has also been involved with pre-sales and merchandising campaigns for finished and unfinished programs. Previously, she was the Manager of Canadian TV and HV Sales with Sullivan Entertainment, as well as the Manager of North American Sales and Acquisitions at Canamedia Productions. For several years Kate has attended the international television markets as well as domestic markets including the Banff Television Festival and the New York Licensing Show.

Marilyn Kynaston
Partner, Director of International Sales
Marilyn founded Picture Box in June 2001 to follow her passion for taking Canadian-produced television programs to the world. Since the company began Marilyn has formed relationships with buyers from more than one hundred countries. Prior to starting Picture Box, Marilyn was the Director of International Sales at Forefront Entertainment, selling dramatic and documentary series and movies. For the past six years she has attended all of the major international television markets including MIPCOM, MIPTV, NATPE and the ASIA TELEVISION FORUM. Before moving into distribution Marilyn worked in the Canadian and Scottish film and television industries for eight years, initially in production departments and later as an independent producer.
